NeuroAI is an English-language publication about China's artificial intelligence industry. We cover brain–computer interfaces, humanoid robotics and embodied intelligence, foundation models, AI silicon and compute infrastructure, generative media, and the policy and governance framework around all of it.
Why this site exists
Most English coverage of Chinese AI arrives in one of two flavours: promotional press releases, or geopolitical threat analysis. Both flatten a complicated reality. The underlying engineering, clinical and industrial work — the thing that actually determines what happens next — is usually buried in Chinese-language sources that international readers never see.
We read those sources, check the numbers against more than one outlet where possible, and write them up in English with dates attached.
How we work
- Numbers get dates and sources. Every statistic in our articles is tied to a disclosed figure, a policy document, or a named report. Where a figure is company-disclosed or a third-party estimate, we say so.
- We separate reporting from interpretation. Analysis is labelled as analysis.
- We publish the caveats. If a technology is at clinical-trial stage, under supply constraint, or loss-making, we say so rather than implying otherwise.
- Corrections are visible. Factual errors are corrected in place.

We are not a state outlet, and we are not an investment advisory. Nothing on this site is investment advice. Clinical content describes ongoing research and is not medical guidance.
